Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This policy applies to the Veltrigen site operated by Veffex Industries LLC, 1250 American Pacific Drive, Henderson, NV 89074.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide to us:

• Researcher-verification attestation, including the researcher or institution type you select and your confirmation that you are at least twenty-one years of age and that you are acquiring materials for research use only, together with the date and time of that attestation.
• Your acceptance of our Terms of Sale & Use and this Privacy Policy at checkout, recorded with your order and its date and time. We retain each published version of those documents and will provide any prior version on request.
• Name, institution or organization, shipping and billing details, email address, telephone number, and order history.

Information collected automatically:

• Device and browser information, IP address, and site-usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the verification cookie required to access the catalog.
• A one-way cryptographic hash of the IP address and browser user agent presented with your researcher attestation, which we use to detect abuse of the verification gate. That record holds the hashes, not the address or the user agent themselves.
• Advertising, analytics, and marketing identifiers collected by third-party technologies on our pages, including on our cart and checkout pages. See Section 5.

We do not collect payment card numbers or bank account numbers on our systems. Payment details are submitted directly to our payment providers, who process them under their own privacy practices.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Verify researcher eligibility and enforce the research-use-only conditions of sale.
• Process, ship, and support your orders, and communicate with you about them.
• Maintain records of attestations and agreements for compliance, audit, and legal-defense purposes.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, chargebacks, diversion, and misuse.
• Measure advertising performance, attribute orders to the campaigns and partners that produced them, and improve our marketing.
• Improve the Site and our products and services.
• Meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not use catalog data to advertise regulated materials to the general public.

4. How we share information

We share personal information with:

• Service providers who perform functions on our behalf under contract, including payment processing, shipping and fulfillment, hosting, analytics, and email delivery. We use Resend to send our email campaigns. Service providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.
• Advertising and marketing platforms, as described in Section 5.
• Referral and attribution partners, and the platform that administers our referral program, for the purpose of attributing orders and paying commissions.
• Government authorities, regulators, or other parties where required by law, subpoena, or other lawful request, or where necessary to protect our rights, our safety, or the safety of others.
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We do not knowingly collect or process the personal information of anyone under twenty-one years of age; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

5. Advertising and analytics technologies

We use third-party advertising and marketing technologies on the Site, including on our cart and checkout pages. These include tags, pixels, and similar technologies operated by TikTok, Reddit, Google, and OpenAI (for advertising we run on ChatGPT), and marketing technology operated by Omnisend. We also transmit conversion and order information directly from our servers to Reddit, Google, OpenAI, and the platform that administers our referral program, in order to measure advertising and attribute orders. Our referral partners, and the platform that administers our referral program, may also run their own advertising — including on Meta — using information about orders attributed to them.

Through these technologies, information about your interaction with the Site — which may include your IP address, device and browser identifiers, advertising identifiers, pages viewed, cart activity, and the fact and value of a purchase — is disclosed to those platforms. Those platforms may use that information to measure advertising, to build audiences, and to deliver advertising to you on other websites and applications. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

Where we send a conversion from our own servers rather than from your browser, that transmission may also include a one-way cryptographic hash of your email address, together with the click and browser identifiers the advertising platform set when you arrived from one of its ads. We do not send the address itself, and a hash of this kind cannot be turned back into your address by us; the receiving platform can, however, compare it against a hash of an address it already holds, and that is why it is sent. What we send to OpenAI is deliberately narrower than what we send to the others: we report that an order took place, and we do not send the items ordered or the amount of the order.

We do not receive money in exchange for personal information. We describe these disclosures plainly because we would rather you know what happens on our pages than not.

We do not currently offer a mechanism on this Site to opt out of the advertising technologies described in this Section. You can limit this kind of tracking through your browser’s privacy and cookie settings, through tracking-protection features or extensions, and through the advertising and privacy settings each of those platforms provides for its own users.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Site to function — including the researcher-verification cookie, session and cart cookies, and security cookies — as well as analytics cookies and the advertising technologies described in Section 5. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies will prevent the catalog, cart, and checkout from working.

7. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy and to meet our legal obligations. Specifically:

• Order records, and the record of your acceptance of our Terms carried with them, are retained for at least six (6) years from the date of the order, because these records are necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and to demonstrate compliance with research-use-only conditions of sale.
• Where you have an account, the date of your researcher verification, the researcher type you selected, and the version of the research agreement you accepted are retained on that account. The short-lived session record behind the verification gate expires on its own and is not kept beyond it.
• Tax and financial records are retained for at least seven (7) years.
• Site analytics, advertising, and usage data are retained for a shorter period appropriate to their purpose.

After the applicable period we delete or de-identify the information, except where a longer period is required by law or where the information is subject to a legal hold in connection with an actual or anticipated claim, investigation, or proceeding.

8. Your choices about your information

Whether or not any particular privacy statute applies to us, you may contact us to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
• Correct inaccurate information in your account or order records.
• Ask us to delete your personal information.

Deletion is subject to limits. We will not delete order records, researcher attestations, records of your acceptance of our Terms, or tax and financial records within the retention periods described in Section 7, because we need those records to meet legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Where we cannot delete something, we will tell you why. We can remove you from marketing email at any time on request, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

We will not treat you differently for making any of these requests.

Section 5 describes the advertising technologies on this Site and the options available to you for limiting them.

9. How to contact us about your information

Please tell us what you are asking for and provide enough information for us to locate your records, such as the email address or order number associated with your purchases. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request about personal information, and we may decline a request we cannot verify.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold, including access controls, encryption in transit, and limits on internal access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator as required by law.

11. Children

The Site is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under twenty-one years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Any change applies prospectively from the effective date of the new version. When we make a material change we will update the version identifier and effective date at the top of this policy. We retain each prior version and will provide any prior version on request.
